RAMALLAH, March 23, 2026 – President Mahmoud Abbas chaired a meeting of the preparatory committee for the eighth general conference of Fatah on Monday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

During the meeting, the President listened to reports from committees tasked with preparing for the conference, including the bylaws, the political program , the national program, the media, the logistics, and the membership committees.

President Abbas affirmed that the conference will be held as scheduled on May 14, 2026. He also instructed the committees to complete their work before the scheduled date.
